Thrilled - Almost - then I started using it
When I learned that Tabletalk was available for the iPad I was initially thrilled. I immediately signed up for three months and purchased the past issues. Before actually starting to use it. But once I started to use it I realized that it has a couple of key limitations.
Though it may help the appearance to implement as part of Apples Newstand (and it does look great) there does not appear to be any way to
- change the font size for easier reading
- or the color theme for "night" mode
- highlight as I used to with the paper version and which I can do with the old versions I read via Logos
- automatically link it to Bible passages as I can with Logos.
- you cant read it on your Mac or PC
So although I am not a big fan of Logos its reading and study experience is much more functional than this Tabletalk implementation.
These shortcomings are probably an issue for anyone else. But they are show stoppers for me. Fortunately I have 250 old issues in Logos which I wish were in another tool like The Bible App to Accordance but at least I can highlight, read them on different platforms, adjust the font to a size that suits me, link to or open a short window to referenced Bible passages "For More Reading" passages.
